Equal Opportunity Party

Equal Opportunity Party. One Team. One Voice. One Goal.

Equality is defined as “the quality or state of being equal.” That’s exactly what the Equal Opportunity Party stands for. Our party wants to level the playing field in our country. We believe everybody should have equal rights, and an equal opportunity to succeed.

Our Values:

We value equal opportunity, distributed power with 1 leader to speak collectively for the nation, and preventing voting fraud, while protecting voters’ rights.

Our Mission:

Our party’s mission is to provide our country with equal rights, equal opportunity, and the ability to prosper with ability unknown to mankind. We want our nation to be the best in the world, while giving everyone in the country to perform to the highest of their abilities. We believe everyone in the country should be on a fair and even playing field. We believe everyone has a voice, and take into consideration everyone’s opinions.

One Team.

One Voice.

One Goal.

That is our mission statement.

We believe that if we collaborate together as a nation anything is possible. We’re all part of the same country, so we’re all on the same team. We all have the same goal, which is to prosper and win. We all want what’s best for our nation. And we all have a voice, and we believe that by coming together we all can create that one voice, which represents our nation as a whole. We view our nation as the greatest country in the world. It’s time we start acting that way.

We see a nation that is undivided in the future, and full of nationalism, and American pride. We believe that no progress will be made by arguing, and yelling and screaming at each other. We believe that by working together we will all come together and form one common goal.

Our 3 Points of Focus:

We believe 3 of the most pressing issues facing our country to this present day are: Regulating sports gambling, protecting voting rights and preventing voting fraud, and liability protection.

#1: Regulating Sports Gambling:

Sports gambling is a very shady industry to begin with. You add in the fact that most casinos are based in Las Vegas, and that a lot of sports gambling is unregulated, and issues are bound to come up. We believe that in order to clean up and regulate the sports gambling industry, sports gambling must become regulated under one governing body for all 50 U.S. states, and territories. We can’t have each state deciding their regulations for sports gambling. We need the entire country to play by the same rules.

We need sports gambling on an equal playing field throughout the entire country. We must get the government to legalize sports gambling throughout the entire country. And we must create a national governing body for sports gambling. If we can create 1 governing body for American sports gambling, then we would be able to monitor and regulate sports gambling throughout each of the 50 U.S. States and Territories. Everybody would be playing by the same rules, and it would cut down on a ton of the illegal offshore sports gambling.

#2: Protecting Voting rights and Preventing Voting Fraud:

The same thing can be said for voting rights and voting fraud. We believe voting rights need to be on a fair and equal playing field. We believe that we can’t have illegal U.S. citizens voting in an election that determines the President of the United States, or any election for that matter. If you’re not a legal U.S. citizen then we believe you shouldn’t be allowed to vote. We must also protect the rights of legal American voters. America is a free country, and American citizens should be not have to be afraid to support or vote for a candidate knowing they might be verbally or physically attacked for doing so.

We also cannot have people voting in multiple states. You are not allowed to vote more than once. So we believe you should not be able to vote in multiple states, even if you have a resident’s address in more than one U.S. state or territory. You also should not be allowed to vote if you are dead. Recently I read about multiple people in Colorado voting in the past U.S. elections using the name and address of a deceased person. Taking advantage of the deceased is just as bad as taking advantage of the elderly. Voting under a dead person’s name is wrong, and should not be allowed in our opinion. If you’re dead, then you’re dead. Case closed.

#3: Liability Protection.

Lastly, liability is a huge issue in America today. Not just for athletes, but for people of all ages and professions. Start with the athletes. The biggest health issue facing current and former athletes today is that of suffering from concussions which leads to a diseases called  CTE. (Also known as Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy). The CTE issue affects mostly former athletes, but recently current athletes have been retiring early out of fear of getting Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy by continuing their playing career.

Football is the most popular sport in America, and athletes who have played American Football have dealt with the most cases of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. In an October 2015 study of 91 post-mortem brains of football players, 87 of them were found to have signs of CTE in them. (Gutierrez) That comes out to a staggering 96%. And what exactly is being done by the National Football League to help these players deal with CTE? Not much. Commissioner Roger Goodell has continually denied the link between playing and football and having CTE. It was only recently that the NFL agreed to settle a $1 Billion Concussion lawsuit to at least 3,00 former NFL players over the next 65 years. That is not good enough though.

It’s ridiculous that it took this long for the NFL to even begin a concussion settlements. There are thousands of NFL players who have dealt with concussions, but are broken down and cannot advocate for themselves. Our party will provide athletes dealing with injuries throughout the four major North American sports leagues (NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL) lawyers to advocate for the players while they are still playing, and throughout their post football playing career lives. We will make sure the sports leagues are paying for their medical bills, and are held liable for causing the players’ injuries.

In Conclusion:

So that’s our party. We believe that our stances on the issues of sports gambling, voter fraud/voting rights, and liability will drastically help this country. We believe we are all One Team. We believe we are all part of One collective Voice. And we all have One Goal. Together we will work to provide our country with equal rights, equal opportunity, and the ability to prosper with ability unknown to mankind.
